A priority of the Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau is to grow the local economy through visitor spending. When more visitors stay, Montgomery County wins!

“The Indiana Tourism Association, ITA, represents over 60 county level destination marketing organizations (DMO) across the state. ITA’s focus is on professional development and support of its members.
Out of the 78 Indiana counties that collect innkeepers tax, 61 collect at an industry standard of 5%. This allows the county to not only market and promote themselves but also serve as a resource and a catalyst in their community.
ITA’s education for its DMO members focuses on how to best utilize these innkeepers tax funds to strategize, plan and execute programs. That includes accountability and planning to enhance quality of place for the benefit of visitors, residents and their business owners.”

The two-year marketing plan anticipates an increased marketing budget and additional efforts to promote visitation and boost the local economy.

The 2023 year calendar demonstrates the strategic plan and investment for the current marketing budget to promote the Montgomery County destination to visitors.

The Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau makes the most of every dollar. The 2022 Annual Report showcases the return on investment from last year. Montgomery County’s tourism economy is stronger than ever. And even greater things can happen in 2024!
