Welcome to Harry’s Hideout. In 2010, Founder Chris Stockdale opened “Mighty Dogs Cafe” in Crawfordsville, In.

In 2013, he opened an updated version with farm to table ingredients and weekly from scratch comfort food menu items in the downtown district of Austin, Tx. Voted “Best Dogs in Austin” and receiving high praise for our from scratch, hand dipped sweet potato batter corndogs, Mighty Dogs Cafe and Bistro received multiple awards and recognition. The unique location, an old flophouse near historical RR tracks on the downtowns west side, soon became compromised as adjacent property owners sold their parcels to high end investment groups seeking to expand their high rise builds and the location was closed after 3 years.

In 2021, following the death of his wife, Chris decided to relocate his 2 year old son, Achilles, back to his Indiana hometown. Harry’s Hideout was conceived as a 1930’s, Chicago speakeasy themed sports bar and restaurant. A place to get away and still feel like home while enjoying delicious, high quality entrees, having a beer and watching a Cubs game. We welcome you to Harry’s Hideout. Shhhhh…it’s a secret.
