Friends of Sugar Creek Canoe Race

Choose your destination whether you are a canoeing the 4 mile race or 15 mile!
These races are not for leisure. Please come determined to paddle!
Check in the day of the race from 9:00am-11:30am at Crawfordsville Park and Rec Coke Plant Launch (across from Creekside Lodge, 613 Lafayette Avenue, Crawfordsville, IN 47933). Every paddler must sign a waiver and release of liability at check in. Race starts at 12:15 pm (Recreational and Pro) and runs from Coke Plant Launch to Deer’s Mill Bridge, approximately 15.5 miles. Awards Ceremony will take place at Canyon Camp Ground at 3:30 pm. Canoe rental is available through Clement’s Canoes (765) 435-2070 or Sugar Creek Campground (765) 362-5528. Waterproof maps of Sugar Creek are available for purchase for $1.00 from Friends of Sugar Creek. A shuttle service will be provided to paddlers who need a ride. The last shuttle will leave finish line to bring paddlers back to the starting line at 11:15am.
Entry Fees: USCA Entries $20.00 / paddler
Recreational $10.00 / paddler
Youth & Junior $5.00 / paddler
Free for Active / Retired Military
Send Entry Forms and Checks To: Friends of Sugar Creek, PO Box 291 Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Checks made out to Friends of Sugar Creek. One Entry Form required for each paddler. Event may be canceled due to weather or creek conditions.
