Swim, Spray and Play

Milligan Park Pool and Splash Pad, Crawfordsville

Dive, leap or tiptoe into the refreshing Olympic sized poole for complete summer heat relief. At the splash pad, get sprinkled, sprayed or doused at this merry-making water wonderland. You’ll want to stay all day!

Waynetown Aquatics Center, Waynetown

This aquatics center offers several ways to get wet and cool off! The splash pad squirts, showers and dumps water in delightful sprays. Close by, the large pool has an exciting slippery curly slide that ends with a soaking plunge! Up to one foot deep, the walk-in kiddie pool is a great way to splish and splash. Rubber ducks optional.

Lake Waveland, Waveland

Experience all that lake life has to offer. This water reaction destination offers 600 acres of sun, shade, boating, swimming, fishing and camping. Bring your boat, canoe or kayak. Load the camping and fishing gear, and remember to bring along the sunscreen, beach balls and s’mores fixins’. Then, unplug, unwind and make lasting summer memories.

Sugar Creek, Crawfordsville

You’ll have days of adventures at Sugar Creek. One of the best canoeing waterways in Indiana, it gets its name from the sugar maples along its banks. This clear running creek is 93 miles long and flows through Montgomery County, including Crawfordsville. A Wabash River tributary, it is considered the most beautiful stream in Indiana which flows under several historic covered bridges. Below are several destinations along Sugar Creek for you to explore.

Sugar Creek Campground and Canoe Rental boasts 48 acres of family fun. With a half mile of Sugar Creek frontage, you’ll find all types of camping, from primitive to air-conditioned cabins.

Launch an adventure with our canoe, kayak or tube trips. Trips range from 3-mile, 5-mile and the day long 11-mile. Stay to paddle another day. Our campground offers all types of camping experiences, including primitive, tent sites with electric and water, pop-ups, motorhome and RV (full hook up available) or air-conditioned cabins. Amenities include fire pits, picnic tables, fishing, playgrounds, sports courts, covered pavilion and more. It’s all you need for a spectacular outdoor adventure.

Clement’s Canoes Outdoor Center is another place to schedule canoe, kayak or tube trips. Choose from several options from mini trips to all day on Sugar Creek. Take a selfie as you float under a scenic covered bridge. Along the water, you may sport wildlife at the Pine Hills Nature Preserve or uncover a fossil or Native American relic on the shore. Float leisurely or paddle with zeal. The pace is up to you. Get more of the great outdoors and stay at our primitive campgrounds. A limited number of cabins is also available.
