In late 2014 the Montgomery County Visitors and Convention Bureau began the lengthy and involved process to develop a strategic plan and detailed marketing and management strategies.

The 3 Year Strategic Plan was prepared from a community and visitor industry partner workshop, Montgomery County Visitors & Convention Bureau Board of Directors and staff, and online surveys during the last half of 2014. Discussions focused on current destination challenges, VCB mission focus and future tourism opportunities.

Since then, the Strategic Plans have been updated regularly for use as directional and guideline documents for the effective destination leadership and marketing communications efforts of the MCVCB. The Strategic Plan Summary demonstrates the priorities and accomplishments of the MCVCB for the nine-year period, 2015-2023.
